Authors have the right to appeal a rejection decision if they believe the decision was based on a significant misunderstanding of the manuscript's scientific content or if a procedural error occurred during the review process.
How to Appeal:
-
Appeals must be submitted via email to the Editor-in-Chief within 15 days of the rejection decision.
-
The appeal letter must include a detailed rebuttal to the reviewers' and editor's comments, providing specific evidence where the author believes the reviewers were incorrect.
-
Note: Appeals based solely on a difference of opinion, the desire to have a new reviewer, or without valid evidence will not be considered. Priority is given to new submissions; therefore, the appeal process may take longer than the standard review.
Process:
-
The Editor-in-Chief will review the appeal and the peer review history.
-
If the appeal is deemed valid, the manuscript may be sent to a new external reviewer or a member of the Editorial Board for a second opinion.
-
The decision made after the appeal process is final.
